Airtable is seeking a tenacious and meticulous SEO Content & Blog Manager to join our marketing team and turn the Airtable blog into a powerful engine that drives material business impact. You will lead global blog content ideation, creation, execution, and overall editorial management across content freelancers and SEO reviews of other site content produced by our Brand team. As an experienced and data-driven editor and writer, you take a customer centric approach to storytelling as you layer SEO and content marketing best practices and tactics. You will also regularly optimize existing content and metadata to improve organic rank and maintain engaging targeted content, as well as manage script strategies through chat.
A mindset of continually improving is a must as you combine creativity, research, and writing to craft unique content and drive cross-functional planning across the organization. This is a highly autonomous role with the potential to impact every part of our web and blog strategy and how we use content to drive brand awareness and leads via organic search visibility and traffic.
What you'll do
- Own the end-to-end SEO blog content creation process – conceive, write, edit high-quality, original keyword-driven content for varying audiences.
- Develop and manage Airtable’s blog editorial calendar – informed by our overarching SEO strategy, company initiatives, and upcoming campaigns.
- Oversee content freelancers to create and maintain clear, detailed content briefs that outline content goals, target audience, tone, and SEO requirements.
- Continuously monitor and analyze chatbot interactions to identify trends, common questions, and areas for improvement. Update chatbot's responses and functionalities based on user feedback and data insights to enhance user experience.
- Lead and drive blog planning meetings and processes. Collaborate with PMM, Brand, and Demand to source content ideas, assign tasks, and support blog contributors in the completion of deliverables.
- Support the publishing of blogs, website content, and resources in our content management system, Contentful.
- Independently research topics to create captivating story angles. You’re a driving force of content innovation and new idea generation.
- Perform ongoing competitor analysis and audience research to identify content gaps and opportunities to drive brief planning and creation.
- Seek opportunities to update existing content, ensuring content is relevant, accurate, and maximized for organic exposure.
- Collaborate with the Design team to bring content to life with the use of images and infographics, optimizing for image search.
- Craft call-to-action messaging that drives lead engagement and conversions.
- Track, monitor, and analyze blog performance, reporting on traffic growth, engagement, and conversions to Pipe.
- Support the Head of Web & Digital Experiences in managing blog keyword ranking and achieving strategic KPIs.
Who you are
- 3+ years of SEO/content marketing, content creation, or equivalent writing experience
- You possess strong, versatile writing skills and are capable of writing/editing for digital, including blog posts, chatbot responses, and site copy.
- You have a strong knowledge of Search Engine Optimization and the “white hat” way.
- You enjoy collaborating across boundaries, working closely with various stakeholders and subject matter experts, to deliver work that supports E-E-A-T principles.
- You have strong project management and organizational skills and high attention to details – demonstrated through your ability to think on your feet, multitask, manage the end-to-end editorial calendar and content process, and adhere to deadlines.
- You have a passion for web marketing and stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and digital content.
- Understand the practical application of competitive research, SEO research,and content research and their places in marketing.
- Exceptional communication skills–written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentations.
- You’re self-motivated with the ability to quickly pick up new skills and learn new tasks.
- You have a working knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript and experience with CMS platforms like Contentful.
- You have experience with SEO, chatbots, and analytic reporting tools, such as Google Analytics, Google search console, Moz, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.

Compensation awarded to successful candidates will vary based on their work location, relevant skills, and experience.

For all work locations (including remote), the base salary range for this role is:$137,700—$179,400 USD
