An Animation Team Leader is responsible for managing and maintaining timings for individual animations as part of whole courses and then as part of the wider roadmap.
They will help push the creative aspects of animation within the business forward, identifying areas for R&D and how that can then be incorporated into the product.
Manage a team of animators providing support and feedback to ensure the delivery of high-quality digital training materials
Deliver end to end animation. On time, within deadlines to a high standard. Completing animations, storyboards and all elements required to communicate an idea leading into and completing production on an animation.
Offer critique where necessary to uphold the quality of work across the team and within individual projects.
Running animation and creative focussed meetings - eg, Kick off, Divvy up, Spec out, Creative Workshops etc
Maintaining and managing the development of animation templates, gathering feedback through retrospectives and continually improving them for future use.
Responsible for the logistical aspect of timekeeping, processes, booking meetings, making sure delivery of all animation within a project is on time, as well as making sure inputs (VO, scripts etc) are available for individual animators.
Push forward the creative aspects of animation, aware of the development of individual animators and how that development feeds into the direction of the product.
Managing Dev days for animators (alongside Senior Manager Design & Animation and the R&D team). Identifying gaps in the animation team and opportunities for people to develop new skills and when they can take the time to do so.
Manage R&D as a project alongside regular animation work - experimenting with processes, creative or technical aspects of animation that could then be brought into the production cycle or templates.
Facilitate conversations and collaboration within the animation team, encouraging the sharing of ideas and assets as well as communication in general.
