Job Description for Data Entry Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Process and enter invoice data accurately into the company’s system
  • Differentiate between the company and vendors on invoices
  • Enter correct amounts, work descriptions, and cost codes
  • Follow detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for data entry
  • Communicate effectively with the finance team for clarifications or assistance
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Ability to read and interpret invoices correctly
  • Billing or finance experience
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Confidence to ask questions and seek clarification when needed
  • Ability to work independently after initial training
  • Basic understanding of financial documents and invoices
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and data entry software

Scope:

  • Handling invoices from various stages of the home building process
  • Contributing to the efficiency of the finance department’s operations
  • Potential for growth and increased responsibilities based on performance
  • Monday to Friday flexible 4 hours a day but must meet deadlines
