Part Time - Direct Support Professional - Remote Support Professional - Clear La

One Vision is seeking to hirea Part Time - Direct Support Professional - Remote Support Professional - Day shift (8am - 4pm) on Tuesdays and every other weekend) - Our Remote Support Professionals support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our Tech- Enabled Service homes from a remote workstation in Clear Lake, Iowa(Not a work from home remote position.)

Job description:

• Remotely supports individuals and provides support in areas related to health, medication, safety, and daily living.
• Appropriately responds to and manages stressful situations remotely.   
• Empowers persons supported to make independent decisions and assist in emergency situations.
• Responds to emergency requests from individuals and as needed escalates to On-Call Supervisor.
• Interacts with the people supported with high attention to engagement.
• Remotely support persons supported, who are wearing wearable devices, when individual is away from home, as needed.

Job requirements:

• Highschool Diploma/GED required.

• Provide a current driver's license and proof of insurance.

• Requires some physical activity bending, kneeling, stooping. Lifting or use of lifts for some individuals.

• Proficient knowledge of technology and possesses ability to navigate multiple technology platforms.  
• Preferred one to two years of related experience and/or training; to include the areas of smart technology and training/coaching others.
• Knowledge of a wide range of technologies, including Communications.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to identify and understand the sense of urgency of individuals supported and document solutions within software platforms.
• Preferred previous experience as a job coach or direct support professional.
• Offer of employment is contingent upon background check, drug screen, physical assessment to occasionally lift to 50 pounds.

This is a safety sensitive role.

Location: This is an onsite position at various homes within our Clear Lake region.
