This is a remote position.
Looking for a Senior Senior UX Researcher to lead the creative direction process from conception through design and development to delivery for our portfolio of Web and Mobile consumer applications and BAU creative assets. The right candidate will lead design through best practices, attention to detail, and sometimes non-traditional thinking that improves our design, products and member experiences across the customer journey.
In this role, you'll set the bar for creative excellence and provide best-in-class visual design thinking and usability expertise at the start of every project as you collaborate with teams of designers, researchers, engineers, content strategists and product managers throughout the product process. You will communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with user flows, wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, user interface mockups, and/or high fidelity prototypes. Your goal will be to advocate for the prioritization of design-centered changes, refinements, and improvements.
Your responsibilities would include:
- Conduct primary and secondary user research.
- Conduct and evaluate quantitative and qualitative research.
- Perform market research.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate research topics.
- Plan and implement user research strategies and methodologies.
- Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written and oral presentations.
- Mentor and coach junior UX researchers on the team.
- Perform usability studies with consumers.
- Ask questions, gather data, and analyze data.
- Use a diverse set of UX research tools (e.g.: FigJam, GoogleAnalytics, Microsoft Forms, etc.)
Requirements
- Five or more years of UX research experience
- Bachelor’s or MS in a human behavior related field (or equivalent and demonstrable work experience)
- Ability to quickly and effectively share research results
- An expert level in applying the Design Thinking principles.
- Ability to perform all research-related tasks including research, planning, evaluating, and iterating
- Ability to formulate specific, answerable, and practical questions
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and act as a strategic partner in product decisions
- Experience with remote testing tools (e.g.: HotJar)
- A strong desire for creative problem-solving with a positive attitude
- An ability to pivot directions and adapt based on research results
- Ability to measure the impact and ROI of applying User Research
- Good understanding of the User Interface design process
- Good knowledge/practice in visual design is a plus.
