Technical Designer (Graphic Design)

This is a remote position.

Scope:

• 20 hours per week with potential for increased hours; London Time business hours

• Remote work, collaborating directly with the London-based team

• Focus on technical design aspects, including tech packs, flat drawings, and manufacturer communications

• Seasonal work intensity, with peak activity from September to March for collection development

Responsibilities:

• Create detailed tech packs for swimwear designs using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

• Develop comprehensive range plans for seasonal collections

• Produce accurate flat drawings with intricate details including stitching, buttons, and patterns

• Assist with textile development and print placement for swimwear designs

• Communicate technical specifications clearly to manufacturers

• Collaborate closely with the founder/creative director on design concepts and execution

• Contribute to the development of new collections from September to March

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with a focus on technical design applications

• Strong understanding of tech pack creation and its importance in the manufacturing process

• Experience in creating detailed flat drawings for garments, preferably in swimwear or related fields

• Knowledge of textile development and print placement techniques

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting

• Fashion design background or relevant experience in the luxury apparel industry
