The AP Web Management team is committed to ensuring critical information about the AP program is available on our web sitesin a timely manner, collaborating with both program subject-matter experts as well as cross-divisional stakeholders such as Communications, Marketing, and Legal.
About the Opportunity
As the Web Content Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the AP Web Management team’scontent production goals, ensuring content projects move through the production process consistently, reviewing, revising, rewriting and editing content using established conventions and standards as laid out by the AP Web team.You will helpkeep the AP web team’s content production project plans up to date, creating Gantt charts, schedules, and other planning documents that will help the team stay organized as work is completed.You will help run and improveourcontent management process, including how the team manages updates to web pages via copy decks or other means, web editorial guidelines, how assignments are delegated, and where documentation is maintained.And when necessary, you will make edits to web pages directly in our content management system.
Keep all assigned tickets on the AP Web Work Smartsheet board updated and moving through the production process
Review, revise, rewrite and edit content as necessary per web editorial guidelines and direction from team Web Content Leads
Ensure edits to decks are clear before passing them to the web team, assisting with additional edits from stakeholders during the quality control process, and notifying stakeholders when their updates have gone live
Update content in our preview environments under guidance and direction from the Web Content Leads Work with stakeholders throughout the production process by sending content decks to stakeholders
Create posting schedules and surface conflicts with the broader AP Web Team with enough anticipation to address them
Supportcapacity planning with the team and ensure that the actual launch date of each ticket is recorded before closing it out
Document team processes in team wiki and share when clarifications are needed
Work with team project leads to determine priority of tickets
About You
4-6 years of experience writing and editing content for the weband a bachelor's degree or similar experience in a related field
Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to independently manage multiple projects in parallel and as a member of a larger team
Systems and routines that guide your daily operations and help you squeeze efficiency and productivity out of your time
Excellent attention to detail, you are the one catching things before projects are launched or completed
Adept problem-solving skills, including using data to inform decisions and actions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitating meetings and presenting remotely and in-person to groups of 15 or more
Proven ability to build relationships and influence others to action
Experience making content changes to websites using content management systems (Drupal, Wordpress, Adobe AEM)
Proficiency with office software (word processing, spreadsheet management, presentation decks); mastery of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote) preferred
Familiarity with other project management software such as Smartsheet is preferred
Familiarity with a “post-Agile” world or mentality
Authorization to work in the United States
About Our Process
