About the Role
A true crime podcast creator is seeking a talented music composer to create a distinctive theme music for their show. The podcast, which is transitioning from a live YouTube format to an audio-only format, requires a musical piece that captures the essence of the content while enhancing the listener's experience. This project offers an opportunity for a composer to contribute to a growing podcast in the popular true crime genre.
Responsibilities:
- Compose an original theme music piece for a true crime podcast
- Create a composition that balances dark and hopeful tones, primarily using piano and strings
- Collaborate with the podcast creator to understand the show's tone and audience
- Provide drafts and iterations of the theme music for feedback
- Deliver a final, polished audio file suitable for podcast use
