Job Summary

The Red Hat marketing team is looking for a Principal Marketing Manager for Enterprise Business to join us in Tokyo, Japan. In this role, you will be responsible for managing how Red Hat positions itself and creates demand through developing and leading integrated marketing campaign strategies for the hightouch sales segment. As a Principal Marketing Manager, your primary focus will be to design and carry out field marketing programs for the target segment including digital marketing, field events and 3rd Party events etc which have a significant, visible impact on pipeline growth for Japan, ensuring that marketing objectives are tightly aligned to business strategy. You will partner closely with multiple internal teams such as sales, tech and marketing team, and external APAC and Global team to understand the customer and industry landscape and with the marketing teams at the country and APAC level to ensure smooth, impactful delivery. We are a fast-paced team and we pride ourselves on designing and delivering world-class marketing programs for our target audiences.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Define the marketing strategy for Red Hat’s approach to targeting senior executives in IT and lines of business (LOB) within the industry vertical ( manufacturing, public sector etc) including the creation of the marketing strategy and delivery of programs targeting high-value and high-potential customers.
  • Develop programs including content, digital marketing, inbound lead follow-up, nurture, in-person and virtual events, and customer engagements with the goal of building and accelerating pipeline.
  • Develop and maintain a view of segmentation, targeting and positioning across accounts and target personas within the Enterprise segment - and align our go-to-market by bringing together their needs with Red Hat’s solutions and services.
  • Manage allocated budget, ROI, and marketing mix across the region
  • Analyze results, metrics, and reports to define effectiveness of program activities
  • Identify opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness through better audience segmentation, marketing techniques, and processes

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of B2B program marketing experience in a BtoB technology field
  • Knowledge of and experience in marketing to enterprise preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to create and develop strategies and integrated marketing campaigns, with the ability to carry out the tactical elements of these plans
  • A goal-oriented, collaborative, customer-focused, detailed, persistent, active listener, and resourceful with good influencing skills
  • Solid project management, planning, and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to take the initiative and deliver projects with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop relationships and communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to handle multiple urgent tasks, projects, and relationships

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building and carrying out account-based marketing programs; knowledge of TOPO, ITSMA, or SiriusDecisions ABM marketing framework or experience with vertical industry marketing is a plus
  • Experience developing account-based marketing programs
  • Clear understanding of cloud and emerging technologies with the capability to skillfully integrate into programs that deliver on sales and product objectives
