About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced composer/producer for a unique, long-term project. This collaboration involves creating a cohesive concept album based on AI-generated songs and original lyrics. The project demands a strong grasp of cinematic music, particularly in the dark fantasy and sci-fi genres, with influences from popular franchises. The aim is to produce an atmospheric album that effectively conveys complex themes of horror and cult elements, blending narrative and musical artistry.
Responsibilities:
- Compose original music for a full-length concept album, integrating AI-generated song structures and provided lyrics
- Create a cohesive musical narrative that aligns with the dark fantasy and sci-fi themes of the project
- Collaborate closely with the writer to ensure the music effectively conveys the intended atmosphere and story elements
- Provide expert input on potential lyrical adjustments to enhance the overall sound and narrative coherence
Requirements
- Proven experience in composing cinematic music, particularly in dark fantasy and sci-fi genres
- Strong portfolio showcasing relevant work in atmospheric and narrative-driven compositions
- Proficiency in music production software and techniques for creating professional-grade tracks
- Familiarity with franchises like Warhammer 40K and ability to create similarly evocative musical atmospheres
