The Role and the Team:
We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Supply Chain Manager (SCM) for R&D Procurement to join our Research and Development team. You will work closely with senior leadership, logistics, design & manufacturing engineering, and major suppliers to ensure program objectives are met on time and within budget. Reporting to the Team Lead of R&D Procurement, the SCM will make timely, cost-effective procurement decisions, coordinate with suppliers, and manage shipment, delivery, and payment schedules in line with project workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end global procurement processes, including forecasting/planning, purchasing, supplier development & monitoring, delivery, and final payment.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional project teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Program, and Supply Chain) to align on technical solutions, supplier selection, deadlines, and prioritization.
- Integrate market opportunities into the design departments.
- Source new suppliers and establish a fast and agile supplier network, negotiating agreements, and implementing framework contracts.
- Qualify and regularly assess suppliers in collaboration with Supplier Quality Management, ensuring compliance with company requirements.
- Develop and implement practical supply and replenishment strategies with Production Planning & Control and Logistics to ensure continuous material availability.
- Support the transition from R&D Procurement to Serial Procurement, establishing a future serial supply chain.
- Drive end-to-end purchase management from sourcing to goods receipt, including supplier selection, RFQ and benchmarking, purchasing, and supplier management.
- Ensure on-time and quality delivery, conducting regular performance reviews with suppliers.
- Create and maintain ERP master data for suppliers and materials.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, proactively leading and supporting problem-solving initiatives by engaging all stakeholders.
- Participate in supplier negotiations, representing supply chain requirements and ensuring a standardized framework.
- Plan, drive, and lead various improvement projects, focusing on agility, automation, and digitalization, delivering on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Requirements
Your Profile:
- Minimum Qualifications/Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration.
- Experience: 2-3 years in supply chain, procurement, or technical project management roles, ideally in a technology-driven industry (e.g., automotive, aerospace).
- Skills:
- Proficient in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications.
