Position Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-capitalized mid-size firm and take your legal expertise to the next level at a great company. We are a close-knit team seeking a meticulous and resourceful Court Researcher to join the team. In this role, you will be an integral part of the business, responsible for retrieving and analyzing legal documents to support our operations. The Court Researcher will conduct thorough searches of court records and legal databases, carefully interpret legal documents, and ensure accurate data entry into our systems. Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Retrieve and analyze legal documents (e.g., petitions, complaints, wills, trusts, deeds, court filings) from county clerk files and online court systems.
- Read, analyze and interpret legal documents to accurately extract and enter relevant information into our system.
- Conduct thorough searches of databases and court records to support investigations.
- Ensure accuracy in data entry and document analysis, identifying any discrepancies or legal issues.
- Update statuses and communicate progress, particularly regarding delays or legal process changes.
- Report on delays impacting business, including changes in court access or procedures.
- Build and maintain relationships with court personnel and other stakeholders to facilitate research.
- Handle confidential legal information with care and good judgment.
- Assist with system and process improvements related to court research.
- Perform other duties related to legal review and research, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Law or a related field;
- Must have experience working with legal documents, preferably in court research, Paralegal, Docket Specialist or similar legal setting.
- Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to handle large volumes of information accurately.
- Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Should have strong critical thinking skills, legal judgment, and the ability to ask the right questions when interpreting legal documents.
- Should have interpersonal skills and the ability to read between the lines and ask the right questions.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, listening, writing).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suites (Spreadsheets, Excel, Word, Etc.)
- High level of comfort and confidence on the phone and the ability to communicate effectively through email.
- You must speak fluent English and Spanish (C1, C2, or C3).
- You must have a high-speed internet connection at your home (80 Mbps)
- Up-to-date laptop with at least 8GB RAM
- You must have a working computer system. Two computer monitors are a plus!

Compensation:
$8.50 - $12.00 USD / Hour DOE
