Salary Range: Up to $4,500 per month, based on experience, with performance-based bonuses.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with core hours between 9 AM – 2 PM EST.

Locations: Remote, open to candidates in North America and LATAM.

About the Company

Role Overview

As a Data Entry Specialist, you will leverage your expertise in content management systems to manage and optimize Shopify stores. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that each merchant’s content model accurately reflects their data structure and to enter data into Shopify stores with accuracy and completeness. This role is ideal for someone passionate about creating impactful e-commerce experiences and optimizing online storefronts.

Your Impact

Your efforts will directly contribute to delivering high-quality, visually appealing Shopify stores that meet merchant specifications, enhance user experience, and drive online success. You will play a key role in shaping the online presence of various merchants, ensuring their content and design requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Shopify Theme Setup and Customization
  • Customize Shopify themes to meet merchants’ unique branding and design requirements, including modifying text, images, fonts, colors, and other visual elements.
  • Content Modeling
    • Create metafields and metaobjects to support merchant Figma designs, ensuring the content model accurately reflects the data structure.
  • Data Entry
    • Enter merchant-provided data into Shopify stores, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Effective Team Communication
    • Communicate discrepancies found during store setup, highlight areas for improvement, and ensure efficient delivery of storefronts.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Conduct thorough testing of Shopify stores, identify and resolve functionality, performance, or user experience issues, and compare designs to merchandised stores.
  • Product Presentation
    • Optimize product pages to effectively showcase product information, images, and user flow.
  • Navigation and Filtering
    • Implement intuitive navigation menus and product filters, organize products into categories and subcategories.
  • Mobile Responsiveness
    • Ensure all Shopify stores are fully responsive and optimized for mobile devices, testing across various screen sizes and devices.

    Requirements

    Must-Have:

    • Proven experience in Shopify theme customization and e-commerce merchandising, preferably in an agency setting.
    • Proven experience in content management systems and content modeling.
    • Strong understanding of e-commerce principles, UX/UI design principles, and best practices.
    • Excellent design skills with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with team members, with experience working remotely.

    Nice-to-Have:

    • Intermediate proficiency in CSS.
    • Knowledge and experience with Figma and working from Figma designs.
    • Experience with project management tools and workflows.
    • Proven ability to analyze data and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
