About This Role
As the Senior Manager, Sales Engineering you will manage a team of Energy Engineering Managers. As one of the largest energy services companies in the U.S., NORESCO utilizes design-build and performance-based contracting vehicles to deliver energy and maintenance savings and significant infrastructure upgrades to existing facilities. Extensive knowledge in Energy Savings Performance Contracts, and other applicable contract vehicles for commercial and industrial customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Energy Engineering managers
  • Extensive knowledge in Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPC).
  • Development and training of existing and new hires in the region, manage resources internal and external assigned to projects
  • Manage team members’ generation of project development budgets for preliminary, competitive and investment grade audits, project development schedules, and project development plans of action.
  • Manage engineering team on senior project management reviews and customer oral interviews
  • Actively produce labor forecasting for both individual reports and project team members.
  • Manage the Senior Project Engineer/analysis group and other groups including lighting and water solutions, M&V, construction, design, commissioning, and operations and maintenance.
  • Help to identify logical career path for Analysis team members for growth (or develop in place) including generalists (Senior Project Engineer candidates), specialists (analysis focus) and leaders (future management candidates).
  • Develop and maintain standards (M&Ps) for the engineering/analysis functions and activities.
  • Work with engineering/analysis team to standardize analysis tools for enhanced consistency and accuracy of calculations and evaluations across projects, and to streamline peer and management reviews.
  • Coordinate with Sales Leaders in prospecting new and existing clients, support on-site meetings, and sales presentations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • PE License
  • 10+ years’ experience Managing Engineering Managers
  • 10+ years developing ESPCs, UESCs, and EaaS offerings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering preferred
  • Strong organizational, technical writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Word, and Excel
  • Strong facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of attention to detail
