The Digital Product Manager will determine product features and functions, and oversee product development liaising with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform daily/weekly Product Owner duties for sprints of software and firmware development, in collaboration with our SW Development vendor partner(s) and internal development and testing teams, and tracking issues on a continual basis.
- Work closely with external vendor partners and internal Engineering, IT, and Project teams to ensure successful SW sprint planning on multiple platforms.
- Define and participate in testing of new enhancements before they are released to customers.
- Define features and capabilities for development of Aftermarket Services, including usage and ROI models.
- Interact with dealer channel partners and fleet customers to understand preferences and requirements for connectivity to third-party systems and solutions, including transportation management systems, yard management systems, trailer asset systems, and tractor/truck in-cab solutions.
- Interact with personnel from external third-party vendors and partners, including requirements definition of joint project scope, commercial agreements, and oversight of execution and testing.
- Capture requests for API applications and other integrations, and support prioritization queue for development.
- Interact with multiple information systems and other analysts to ensure data integrity and consistency across platforms.
- Lead definition of requirements and integration of telematics platform and data with other tools and systems, including service and warranty management systems, third-party billing platform, and Salesforce.
- Participate in creation of sales and marketing support tools, and provide training as needed through both creation and delivery of online modules and live in-person presentations.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to develop and enhance value proposition and promotional campaign, including planning for exhibits and demonstrations for trade shows and other events.
Basic Qualifications:- BS or MS degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Software or IT product or project management, services or IT administration.
- 3+ years of experience working with APIs and/or other integration solutions with external partners is required.
- 3+ years of experience working with vendor partners and collaborating on solutions to benefit both companies is required.
- 3+ years of experience in Telematics and/or other Aftermarket Services offerings, or other IT solutions, SaaS or related applications is required.
Preferred Qualifications: - IT certifications/education preferred.
- Experience or knowledge with IoT, including sensors, connectivity, cloud, analytics and/or user interfaces is strongly preferred.
- Experience in the transportation, trucking, automotive, and/or cellular industries is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with various business systems and websites, including user portals, eCommerce, billing, and/or service administration systems is strongly preferred.
- Experience with JDE Enterprise, Salesforce or other systems supporting monthly service billing is preferred.
- Experience interacting with functional teams in IT, Services, Software Development, Product Management, Product Marketing and Finance is preferred.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including fluency with VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables is preferred.
- Experience interacting with customers to understand their needs and help solve their problems is strongly preferred.
