WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: The Fors Marsh Program Evaluation and Policy Analysis (PEPA) practice is seeking a Bilingual Research Analyst to support research and evaluation projects aimed at helping clients generate valuable user insights. In this role, the analyst will be responsible for managing participant recruitment and engagement, collaborating with research teams, and handling data collection, management, and analysis. The analyst will also summarize and report findings while providing general support to federal clients. The primary objective of our team is to ensure that user-centered insights drive meaningful progress, placing citizens at the center of government services to ensure they work effectively for everyone.
Responsibilities include:
- Use creative problem-solving to help federal clients understand how individuals experience government services or programs, determine if these services meet their needs, and find ways to improve them.
- Manage participant recruitment and engagement for user research studies, ensuring diverse and representative samples.
- Aid in collecting, organizing, and managing research data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality throughout the process.
- Help create research reports, presentation decks, and other project materials that summarize methods, findings, and implications in a clear and actionable manner.
- Work closely with team members to support research activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Assist in reviewing and ensuring the quality of research deliverables before they are shared with clients.
- Balance responsibilities and tasks across multiple concurrent projects, maintaining organization and attention to detail.
- Work as part of a team on a day-to-day basis in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate effectively in English and Spanish to support research and evaluation projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Psychology, Sociology, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of one year of applied research experience required.
- Must be fluent in English and in Spanish, for both written and oral communication.
- A strong desire to understand user behaviors and experiences, and to explore how government services can be improved.
- Basic knowledge of research methodologies, both qualitative (e.g., interviews, surveys) and quantitative (e.g., data analysis, statistical methods).
- Ability to analyze and interpret data, with experience using tools or software for data management and analysis (e.g., NVivo, R, or similar).
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills to present findings, share insights with team members, and interact with clients.
- Careful attention to detail in managing data, preparing deliverables, and ensuring accuracy in research processes.
- Flexibility to adjust to changing project requirements, deadlines, and priorities in a dynamic work environment.
- Understanding and considering the perspectives and experiences of users, to ensure their needs are at the center of research efforts
- Applicants may be subject to a low-level government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to sensitive information.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and consent to a full background check due to our federal contract requirements
