The Opportunity
The AGI Food Service team is actively seeking Field Service Controls Technician candidates to join our growing Food Service Division. Under the direction of the Director of Service - Food, you will perform integral controls installation and checkouts of AGI equipment, ranging from basic conveyor systems to complex industrial production systems. This is a traveling role with 90% travel to customer sites.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance by workforce or subcontractor to all installation standards, procedures and contractual commitments with the bound of all applicable policies
• Supervise work performed on systems ranging in difficulty from basic conveyor systems to complex industrial production systems
• Assemble machinery and equipment before installation using hand and power tools
• Adjust; repair or replace defective parts on machinery applicable to job scope
• Install, align, dismantle, rig and move industrial controls systems as necessary
• Provide expert guidance to installation teams to ensure AGI equipment installation requirements are met including the installation of secondary components to AGI equipment (compressed air, hydraulics, instrumentation, electrical connections)
• Perform and support the completion of AGI equipment checklist inspections
• Review and aid in the mechanical / electrical set-up of compressed air regulator pressures, blowers, valves, airlocks, screws, etc.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or similar equivalent education required.
• Experience working in heavy industrial and construction environments
• Experience with forklifts, aerial lifts and other heavy equipment
• Welding experience is preferred
• Working at heights
- Willing to travel sometimes for extended periods
• Valid driver’s license
