The Executive Assistant to the Dean of Nursing works independently, providing high-level administrative support to the Dean of Nursing and academic departments. This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to provide information and service to a wide range of internal and external contacts. The Executive Assistant to the Dean of Nursing provides administrative support to the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, Department Chairs, DNP Program Director, and Clinical Directors. A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the University and departmental policies and procedures are required. The EA to the Dean of Nursing supports the philosophies and policies of FNU.
Maintains departmental documents in a centralized location.
Schedules and attends meetings on behalf of the Dean of Nursing, taking notes and recording minutes.
Schedules, prepares agenda, takes minutes, and follows up as needed for meetings requested by the Executive Assistant to the Dean of Nursing; provides administrative support to the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, Department Chairs, DNP Program Director, and Clinical Directors.
Supports the administrative management of faculty (teaching assignments, evaluations, etc.)
Performs office tasks, including maintaining records, ordering supplies, and performing basic bookkeeping.
Answers phone inquiries, directs calls to the proper department, and provides basic University information.
Provides high-level administrative support and assistance to all employees, the Board of Directors, and external constituents as directed.
Serves as the backup for the Executive Assistant to the President when needed.
Receives incoming communication or memos on behalf of the Dean of Nursing.
Provides a high level of support for the annual faculty meeting, commencement, and other on-campus events
Acts as a liaison with other services/departments to support the Dean of Nursing.
May interview or assist in orienting other administrative support employees within the University.
Arranges travel, accommodations, itineraries, and all travel-related correspondence as needed.
Coordinates logistics for various meetings and retreats
Provides service to the University through activities such as involvement in FNU shared governance (e.g., committees, workgroups), FNU sponsored activities (e.g., charity drives, community-outreach activities), and/or service to the profession (e.g., presentations, professional organization committee work).
Adheres to the elements of the Culture of Caring
Extensive knowledge of office administration, clerical procedures, and recordkeeping systems.
Extremely proficient with Google Workspace (i.e., google docs, google spreadsheet, and google slides), database management, graphics and internet, and other technical/scientific applications with the ability to learn new or updated software.

Bachelor's Degree required will consider an AA degree with significant commensurate work experience.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a high-level administrative position, supporting Senior Managers/C-level Executive, preferably with a non-profit organization
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Google Apps and Google Suite
Previous experience in higher education preferred
This position reports directly to the FNU Dean of Nursing.
Eligible for hybrid telecommute agreement after 30 days of hire date.
