The HR Director, Business Partner for our company's Animal Health Global Marketing and Technology Solutions (GMTS) is responsible for strategic HR support to the Vice President (VP), GMTS and his/her leadership team and reports to the Vice President Human Resources, Animal Health. The incumbent will be a member of the GMTS Leadership Team, responsible for shaping and executing the business and people strategies. This includes but is not exclusive to coaching to the leader and his/her leadership team, providing expertise in organizational capability building and design, talent management, workforce planning, restructuring, business development, change management, leader effectiveness, performance management, compensation and rewards, and escalated employee relations issues. GMTS consists of the corporate Global Marketing functions, Commercial & Digital Experience (CDX), Technology Innovation Labs, Data Labs and Technology Manufacturing. This position manages a small team of HR professionals with a global reach.
Key Responsibilities:
Build strategic talent plans that includes both short term priorities as well as a long-term roadmap to enable the organization to achieve its business strategy in alignment with the divisional talent strategy
As a member of the GMTS Leadership Team, contribute to business strategy with a particular focus on helping leaders identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, teams, and processes that support the achievement of business goals
Be proactive about identifying, aligning on, and executing opportunities to advance our business
Provide strategic HR and executive coaching to senior leaders and their teams
Facilitate a strong culture of leadership and employee engagement across GMTS. Drive culture change and team effectiveness strategies.
Assist with divisional M&A initiatives as needed, including pre-deal due diligence and post-deal close integration.
Provide proactive competitive intelligence to enable the business to attract, develop and retain strong talent.
Coach and develop a team of HRBPs to foster a high performing HR team.
Engage with HR Centers of Excellence (Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Talent, D&I, etc.) to develop and execute solutions that enable the division’s talent strategy while optimizing resources and deploying enterprise solutions when possible.
Manage projects as determined to further the annual HR and business priorities.
Analyze trends and people metrics to provide proactive guidance on workforce productivity, retention and engagement. Identify actionable insights and provide visibility to issues that require attention.
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline, or currently in pursuit of degree completion, or equivalent relevant work experience
Minimum 12 years’ experience (10 with Masters’ degree) as an HR Business Partner, in an HR COE, or relevant applicable experience. Most recent experience ideally gained in a global, matrixed environment working with senior leadership teams.
Demonstrated HR leadership as an HR partner in an international environment working with senior leadership teams
Proactive, strategic thinking with ability to understand critical business needs and the organizational and talent levers that can drive success
Takes accountability to execute tactics to advance organization and talent priorities, collaborating with key stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to understand and contribute to complex business processes and outcomes and how these influence HR decisions
Demonstrated ability to leverage data to identify opportunities, build a strategy and business case and lead execution
Demonstrated HR functional competence in one or more HR disciplines
Demonstrated ability to effectively influence, consult with and coach senior leaders and managers
Ability to strategically prioritize time and problem solve against most impactful activities and initiatives
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to demonstrate and foster collaboration among peers and extended HR organization
Demonstrated experience in organization development such as organization design, change management, workforce planning
HR responsibility for a global organization
Experience supporting R&D technology and or Animal Health customers
Experience leading talent aspects of organization transformation
Knowledge of the animal health business / industry, or demonstrated learning agility and passion for the business
Knowledge of employment legal practices and policies

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
