The Consumer Marketing group at Penguin Random House is seeking a Senior Analyst, Marketing Analytics. The Consumer Marketing team connects with readers directly via PenguinRandomHouse.com, and ReadBrightly.com (a program focused on raising life-long readers), and associated marketing channels (e.g., email, social media, advertising) as well as through creative campaigns to grow new audiences and increase engagement with books and reading. In this role on the Marketing Analytics team you’ll collaborate with product, content and business teams to lead search optimization (SEO) strategy and A/B testing across our marketing channels.
Perform ongoing research including discovery and expansion of search opportunities for organic SEO success as part of informing companywide search strategy for digital marketing channels.
Engage in independent and collaborative analysis to help inform digital marketing strategy across, paid, organic, email and search traffic.
Work with our content and product team on recommendations to adjust copy and landing pages for search engine optimization as well as CSS/HTML optimizations and stay on top of search trends.
Provide technical SEO support and input for crawling, indexing, XML sitemap generation and implementation, schema markup, etc.
Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests across our digital platforms for engagement, email acquisition and purchase intent. Use CrazyEgg and Lytics to build website experiments, track metrics, and report on the results. This will involve collaborating with the other marketing, product, and design teams to provide insights and recommendations.
Work with the product team to inform the roadmap for site improvements through a test and learn mindset taking into consideration business goals.
Hands-on SEO experience with a proven track record of success in driving growth
Advanced knowledge of technical, on-page, and off-page SEO, including search engine algorithms and ranking factors.
Proficiency with SEO, AB testing and analytics tools such as Adobe Customer Journey/Adobe Target/Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, and similar tools.
Strong analytical and communication skills - ability to distill complex data sets into clear story lines for stakeholders, and ability to collaborate with multiple teams and functions
Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
Understanding of consumer marketing goals and KPIs
Familiarity writing SQL queries, and an understanding of database structure
The salary range for this position is $73,000 - $95,000.
