Position Information:

NWHSU is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach in our Integrative Care program. This is a great opportunity to advance the growing health coaching field by inspiring future health coaches towards whole person well-being in individuals and communities through functional and integrative health practices. Our online curriculum is designed to meet the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaching (NBC-HWC) criteria and earn the (NBC-HWC) certified health coach credential. This individual also has the opportunity to guide new coaches on how to build a career helping individuals and communities live healthier lives.

This is a part time, non-benefits eligible, adjunct faculty position teaching in our Integrative Care program.

Work Location: Fully Remote

Course Assignments May Include:

Course specific assignments may include Fundamentals of Behavioral Science and Motivating for Health Change, Foundations of Integrative Health and Wellbeing Coaching, Health and Wellness Standards, and Community Practicum in Health and Wellness Coaching.

Duties:

• Apply effective teaching and learning strategies designed to assist students in learning foundational competencies outlined in the syllabus
• Engage in regular and substantive interaction with students in ways that supports learning in the course
• Deliver meaningful assessment strategies to determine student attainment of foundational knowledge and course competencies
• Provides students with timely and clear feedback
• Assign grades based on grading policies outlined in the syllabus and student performance on assessments

What you need to have?

• Active NBC-HWC Board Certification in Health Coaching with a minimum of 200 hours of coaching practice, required
• Master's or Doctoral degree in a health related field, preferred
• Teaching experience, preferred
