As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking a dynamic, experienced Vice President, Business to Business (B2B) Go-to-Market (GTM) responsible for creating and cross functionally executing the Marketing plan for our B2B offerings.

Position Overview

The Vice President, B2B Go-to-Market will play a critical leadership role and be responsible for developing and executing a forward-looking marketing strategy, as well as a plan that drives revenue growth, customer engagement, and brand management within the B2B sector. This executive role requires a highly strategic, results-motivated leader with deep expertise in a matrixed GTM organization and specific success in B2B marketing, demand generation, and global Marketing. A proven track record of scaling marketing efforts, aligning with sales, and driving business outcomes is vital to being successful. The ideal candidate will possess the capacity to articulate and establish clear strategic goals, effectively drive cross functional execution, collaborate across departments, and drive accountability for Marketing business results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Go-to-Market Leadership
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive B2B marketing strategy and plan that cascades from the Business Unit commercial plans with overall business goals and drives revenue growth
    • Be responsible for market positioning, segmentation, and targeting strategies to capture market share and expand into new verticals
    • Accountable for tracking and reporting Business Unit Marketing activity to the Business Unit
  • Demand Generation & Growth
    • Partner with the functional head of Demand Generation, develop Demand Generation strategy, plans and campaigns to drive global growth for both acquisition and retention
    • Oversee demand generation efforts, including lead generation, Account-Based Marketing (ABM), and inbound/outbound marketing campaigns
    • Drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention through targeted, data-driven marketing strategies, campaigns and activities
    • Responsible for executing targeted marketing campaigns and ABM initiatives for key accounts and vertical markets
  • Sales Alignment & Collaboration
    • Partner closely with sales executives to ensure marketing strategies align with sales objectives and pipeline goals
    • Collaborate on go-to-market (GTM) initiatives, sales enablement, and product marketing to create cohesive and impactful messaging
    • Develop and execute integrated campaigns that drive measurable results and foster strong collaboration between marketing and sales
  • Product Marketing
    • Deliver product messaging that defines Skillsoft’s unique and differentiated value propositions
    • Establish customer journeys for target profiles that allow for Business Unit growth
    • Collaborate with product and commercial leadership on GTM activities
  • Global Marketing
    • Partner with Geo/Field teams to develop and execute geo campaigns to drive revenue growth
  • Brand & Communications:
    • Elevate and protect the brand in the B2B marketplace through consistent messaging, thought leadership, and content marketing
    • Manage the creation of compelling content and marketing assets that resonate with B2B decision-makers and influencers
  • Data-Driven Decision Making
    • Use data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, optimize performance, and drive continuous improvement
    • Monitor key marketing metrics, including ROI, customer acquisition cost (CAC), and lifetime value (LTV), to make informed strategic decisions
    • Stay ahead of market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to proactively adjust strategies
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead, mentor, support and inspire a high-performing cross functional marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence
    • Drive professional development and growth for marketing team members to ensure continued success and talent retention
    • Partner closely with key functional leaders to ensure that Marketing activities and campaign are prioritized and deliver results

Skills & Qualifications

  • 15+ years of Global Marketing Go-to-Market experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
  • Deep knowledge and 3+ years of experience leading Global GTM B2B teams in a matrixed organization at scale
  • Location: Remote East Coast United States for Global Calls
  • Successful track record in growing the marketing function within a matrixed corporate environment
  • Experienced leader of B2B Strategic Marketing, both planning and execution, who can identify, implement and hold people accountable to the most effective collection of KPIs
  • Proficient working across highly complex, multi product, truly global businesses; the ability to transcend cultural and geographic differences to ensure a cohesive approach worldwide
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, success with clear and effective communication, to build, support and be a trusted advisor and key influencer to all levels across the organization

Target base salary range for this job requisition is anticipated to be $232,000 to $290,000k annualized.

The company may modify salaries, salary ranges and/or Pay Plans from time to time as it deems necessary.
