The Neuroscience District Business Manager has direct responsibility to lead and manage a team of Sales Representatives who promote Takeda’s Neuroscience product(s). The Neuroscience District Business Manager is responsible for planning and implementing district sales plans and coaching and developing the sales representatives to maximize opportunity for the organization. This role includes building and leading the district sales team; providing support,coaching and developing sales team members; establishing and managing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders,managing the district sales business operations (e.g. policies/procedures, budgets, sales and account data, etc.)
Develops and implements market based business strategies that achieves sales objectives, maximizes exposure and opportunities for company products. Develops business plans through analyzing data, conducting account analysis and evaluating market data
Proactively evaluates business opportunities and strategies providing recommendations and solutions to business challenges.
Responsible for building a high-performing sales team by recruiting, hiring, onboarding and continual development of District sales Team. Creates the appropriate DE&I environment that supports learning and growth for short and long term success, development and retention of talent.
Implement sales and marketing programs to support Takeda’s plans for U.S. growth in assigned district.Holds themselves and representatives accountable for all elements of the job, including achieving sales goals and objectives, selling skills and territory management. • Ensure full and complete compliance of all selling activities within the area of responsibility to the standards of all State and Federal regulations.
Takes initiative in developing professional working relationships with internal business partners, works effectively cross-functionally and serves as liaison with other functions, as well as other sales and marketing personnel.
Work with Regional and National Account Managers to stay up to date on managed market issues in district and implement initiatives to maximize sales.
Works collaboratively with Manage Markets partners to achieve shared sales and product access objectives.
Bachelors degree – BS/BA with a minimum of 2 years of people management level experience in the pharmaceutical, biologic/biotech, or medical device industries which may include district management, specialty account management, or 1 year of people management plus 1 year of cross functional experience (i.e. marketing, training, etc.). Will also consider internal candidates who have people leadership interim experience (i.e. TIDE) or have successfully completed a Takeda formal leadership development program (i.e. LEAP). • Demonstrate ability to adapt to ambiguity, make quality decisions swiftly and strategically plan
Demonstrated ability to coach, empower, motivate, attract and retain talent of a team • Demonstrated the ability to gather and analyze insights from the marketplace, plan the business and focus on key priorities and critical success factors
Strong communication skills – verbal, written and presentation skills • Demonstrated ability to collaborate by working with others to succeed and communicate direction with influence and impact
Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography
Neuroscience experience strongly preferred
Ability to drive to or fly to various meetings/client sites to work with sales professionals attend meetings on a local and national basis, and training.
Travel 50-75% dependent on District boundaries

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
