Job Summary

As the Marketing Operations Project Manager at Harley-Davidson, you will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence, helping to lead the planning cycle and establishing process improvements across the global marketing organization. This centralized function supports the entire Global Marketing Team (including Regional Marketing Teams) and integrates with key stakeholders across the H-D organization.

The centralized global Marketing Operations Team oversees the centralized monthly/quarterly/annual planning and briefing process, marketing budget and financial planning process, team performance and engagement, in-depth process development and improvement initiatives as well as integrated marketing program management. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset and eagerness to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing processes and how we work together towards business success, have strong project management skills, and a go-getter attitude to ensure operational excellence in all we do.

Job Responsibilities

  • Planning Process: Assist with the coordination of monthly, quarterly and annual planning exercises across the global marketing organization.
  • Program & Project Management: Support the end-to-end management of integrated global marketing projects & programs, ensuring they are delivered on time. Be able to manage several projects concurrently and successfully in a fast-paced environment.
  • Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement: Help drive operational excellence and efficiencies across the marketing organization by developing and implementing best practices, documented standard operating procedures, and process improvements. Directly lead selected improvement projects and support as a key stakeholder and resource.
  • Contracting & Vendor Guidance: Help drive the effort to optimize vendor processes including implementing master agreements and establishing core standard processes with key stakeholders, including Indirect Procurement and Legal.

Must be familiar with a proven CI methodology such as DMAIC, or be prepared to enthusiastically learn one!

  • Strong project management and organizational abilities – being able to manage many projects concurrently and successfully in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience with work management software experience a plus (Adobe Workfront, Asana, Microsoft Project, JIRA, etc.)
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities – ability to connect disparate pieces and approaches together.

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance or Accounting, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field preferred.
  • An MBA, other relevant advanced degree, a relevant certification (such as CPA, PMP or CAPM) or being a current student/candidate for any of the aforementioned degrees or certifications is a plus but not required.

Experience Requirements

  • Typically requires 5 years of experience in operations, marketing, project/program management, corporate finance, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships and working on cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of brand & marketing principles and best practices.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
