IntelliBridge is looking for a hands-on Senior Database Developer to join our growing team!
Position Overview:
The candidate will be working in an Agile environment along with 4 to 5 other database developers, and multiple scrum teams comprised of developers, a business analyst, scrum master and UI/UX designer. The candidate should exhibit excellent problem solving and data analysis skills as well as a proven ability to work independently. The candidate will focus on design, development, implementation and testing of the software built on a new technology stack using industry standard tools and design patterns.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Work closely with the product owner, business analyst, tech lead and designer to translate requirements
- Create necessary tables, views, procedures, and scripts to the support creation of multiple usable web pages
- Be proficient in back-end .NET development with skills in web service development and managing the data access tier
- Support database needs for multiple environments (development, test, QA, UAT) in a highly collaborative team environment
- Prepare scripts for modifying and maintaining production schemas and data
- Be responsible for SSIS, SQL Code, and Transact SQL routines
- Assist with SSRS report development and deployment
Required Skills and Competencies:
- 7 plus years of experience as a Oracle database developer, including creating DB tables, views, procedures, and scripts
- 5 plus years’ experience with SQL queries and databases, e.g. Oracle 19
- 5 plus years’ experience with PL/SQL
- Experience with PL/SQL unit testing
- Experience developing an enterprise-wide application
- Strong communication skills with management, development teams, and product owner
Desired Skills:
- History of working in an Agile environment
- Prior knowledge of migrating from Oracle to Postgres.
- Experience migrating data to a cloud environment.
- Experience with NoSQL databases and NoSQL support in PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of Perl, HTML and JavaScript
Education and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, similar discipline, or equivalent work experience is required.
