Job Description

XBRL Consultants are representatives our Compliance Services team. People in this role will work with public companies unpublished financial reports to provide XBRL filing services to the regulatory bodies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission, regulators under the European Securities and Market Authority through Europe, Companies and Intellectual Property Commission, plus others.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge and expertise of XBRL and the use of the IFRS and US GAAP Taxonomy
• Apply appropriate concepts and attributes to financial disclosures
• Understand various reporting requirements by industry and the specific taxonomy modeling differences

Achievements/ Goals

• Create and manage XBRL tags and taxonomies for clients filing with the SEC, ESEF requirements and ESG
• Professionally communicate, share, clarify and interpret knowledge of finance related authoritative guides (i.e., SEC's EDGAR Filer Manual, FASB Best Practices, XBRL US Best Practices to name a few) to internal customers
• Perform related administrative responsibilities to meet established deadlines
• Provide feedback to managers and other internal departments to improve processes and efficiencies
• Assist with ad-hoc projects on an as needed basis

Qualifications

• Fluent in German and English
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance
• Experience in related field
• Proficient with formatting in MS Office Word, specifically with font, paragraph, styles, hyperlinks, page references, managing headers and footers, and Word table settings
• Proficient with formatting in MS Office Excel, specifically alignment of number, pivot tables and advanced formulas
• Corporate accounting experience and previous customer service to an assigned group of clients or vendors.
• Progressing to professional certification (CPA/CA)
• A helpful and supportive attitude working across global teams
• Attention to detail, proactive problem solving, ability to meet deadlines and a "service above self" approach to client satisfaction
