This position involves resolving incoming call inquiries from customers. Inquiries range from reporting and providing information about power outages, resolve billing questions, complete start/stop service requests, setting up payment arrangements and much more.
General Purpose
- As a remote customer experience agent, you will provide a wide range of solutions and services to residential and business customers in the six states served by PacifiCorp. Our customer care specialists utilize policies, procedures, systems and programs to place various service and emergency orders, answer billing and credit-related questions and handle sensitive customer issues. The training provided will prepare you to assist customer needs, perform research and follow up on customer accounts. This position will also perform additional duties as requested or assigned.
- This position will be considered for remote (work from home) work classification but will be required to participate in required training following hire, which could include onsite training.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate; or the equivalent combination of education and work experience
- A minimum of two years non-sales customer service experience where one-on-one problem resolution was demonstrated, and/or two years of non-sales call center experience.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook
- Effective problem solving and decision-making skills
- Effective communication and analytical skills to handle escalated customer situations Proficient use of computers
- Ability to perform basic math calculations Ability to type a minimum of 30 WPM
- Flexible to work shifts within operating hours of 7am-9pm M-F and 8am-7pm Saturday, with potential of overtime All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screening
Remote Requirements
- Remote work applicants must reside within Carbon and Emery Counties in Utah
- Ability to commute 1-2 times a month during the training period (first 4 months of employment) and as needed for refresher training to our West Valley City location. Expenses incurred for travel will be reimbursed by the company including mileage, lodging and meal expenses.
- A designated residential workspace free from noise, hazards and other distractions Integrity to follow confidentiality guidelines on maintaining customer privacy
- Self-motivated and disciplined to adhere to a structured schedule
- High speed reliable internet connection with minimum speed of 100 Mbps (testing available at www.speedtest.net) (cost of internet service is not provided/reimbursed by company)
- Company-provided computer must be physically connected (hard wired) to a router or modem by a company supplied cable (no wireless connection)
- The company will provide the following equipment: laptop, docking station, monitors, mouse, keyboard, ethernet cable and headset
Preferences
Training hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 9:15am-6:15pm. for the first 90 days and may include mandatory overtime. Following training, shifts are assigned based on customer need and can be anywhere within our operating hours(7am-9pm M-F, 8am-7pm Saturdays and potential of working holidays) Note: shifts won't change day by day or week by week it will be a set shift and most likely a late morning to early afternoon start time
Training will be on site in a location in Price Utah for the first week and remotely following. Commute may be required 1-2 times a month for training to our West Valley City, UT location.
o Note: Company will provide reimbursement for mileage or potential overnight lodging.
