About the Job:

We're looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Solution Network team. This position will primarily involve designing and maintaining Solution Network’s Azure DevOps organization and implementing automation for CI and QA testing. If you enjoy staying on the cutting edge of technology and automating infrastructure deployments, then this is the job for you. This vital role will require knowledge and experience designing, implementing, and monitoring scalable and secure cloud services for the Solution Network team and it’s initiatives. The employee will be expected to work well in a growing team and willing to share responsibilities with other team members as needed. He or she will interact with internal staff, managers, and coordinate with the OneStream Cloud DevOps team to implement and maintain Solution Network operations. A passion for technology and learning, and the ability to grow others are vital for success in this role.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and implement scalable and secure Cloud Services architecture.
  • Manage and maintain all code repositories.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for automation, process improvement, and architecture improvements.
  • Collaborate to define best practices and standards around policy implementation and branch strategy.
  • Collaborate with key organizational stakeholders to determine strategy and future improvements.
  • Update technical documentation, workflows, and knowledge base articles.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Determine gaps in development processes and identify areas of improvement for developer tooling.
  • Responsible for developing a change management protocol for Solution Network regarding our cloud environments.
  • Monitor Solution Network environments through Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics.

Qualities of a Successful Candidate:

Formal Education and Certification:

  • BS/BA in computer science, engineering, or technology-related field (or equivalent work experience).

Knowledge and Experience:

  • 5-8+ years in cloud infrastructure experience
  • Deep understanding of Infrastructure-As-Code concepts and tooling (Terraform, CloudFormation templates, Bicep or ARM templates) on Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Deep understanding of cloud concepts including elasticity, security, and identity management.
  • Familiar with Agile Development methodologies utilizing Jira or Azure DevOps Boards
  • Enjoys automating processes using PowerShell, Bash, YAML, REST APIs, or other scripting languages.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with the following technologies, tools, and concepts:
    • Automating processes using PowerShell, CLI, RST APIs, ARM Templates or other scripting languages.
    • Comfortable leveraging source control tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, BitBucket, or GitHub.
    • Knowledge of container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, AKS, GKS
    • Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud (GCP)
  • Microsoft Windows 10, Windows Server, IIS, Microsoft SQL Server, Active Directory

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working for a cloud service provider (CSP), managed service provider (MSP), or SaaS provider.
  • 3+ years of relevant Azure experience deploying and managing leveraging Infrastructure-as-Code (IAC) concepts.
  • Understanding of Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) with container-based deployment skills or other platforms such as OpenShift, GKS, EKS
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2016-2022, IIS, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Active Directory
  • Any certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-103, AZ-104), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-300, AZ-301), Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400); CISSP, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), CompTIA Security+/Network+ is a plus.
  • Experience with Dynatrace or similar monitoring tool.
