A Senior Insurance Operations Specialist makes an impact as a seasoned, professional individual contributor, ready to manage projects, work independently, help teammates thrive and collaborate with stakeholders across the company.
The role will sit within MPS, where we manage over 300 client and insurer Facilities. You will be working closely with functional areas of the team, and across all of the business units.
This is an extremely interesting and varied technical role, which will provide the successful candidate with fantastic exposure across a number of key business areas. The work is both complex and challenging, allowing you to become a real subject matter expert within your field.
Whilst the work can be technically challenging the work would really suit someone looking to develop themselves both in terms of insurance knowledge and career advancement.

Whilst relevant experience within contracts and wordings would be ideal, we would also be willing to consider applications from candidates who are able to demonstrate transferrable skills. For example, candidates who come from with a legal related background would also potentially be suitable.

Maintain an advanced understanding of the insurance industry and external regulatory environment and their procedural or operational implications for brokers and businesses.
Work closely with the Account Executives, Brokers, Transactional Team, Claims team and Technical Support Analysts to draft, check and validate slips, contracts and endorsements to a high standard.
Support brokers in the structure and design of MPS facilities producing Market Reform Contracts (MRC) and supporting documentation in accordance with latest Delegated Authority templates and MRC requirements with a view to ensuring seamless processing of risks attaching thereto across various Marsh and Third Party electronic platforms.
Link up with the Account Executives based in the London or Norwich offices (or elsewhere) as may be required.
Be a point of contact for technical insurance questions from all sources and be expected to solution and apply judgment as to who and when to escalate further as may be required.
Strategizes own workload to meet individual all applicable SLA, KPI and Quality targets
Train and assist lower level employees with their work as may be required.
Knowledge of all Microsoft office products with heavy reference to Excel / Word / PowerPoint
Highly organised and methodical in approach
Ability to work under pressure, the desire to develop relationships and grow as an insurance expert.
Previous or current experience working for an Insurance Broker
Legal qualifications or contact drafting experience
Audit, Quality Assurance, Governance or similar experience
Binding Authority or Lineslip handling experience
Knowledge of Lloyd’s systems such as DCOM and Atlas
Experience in the insurance market as broker or underwriter
The flexible ability to travel to other UK offices such as London to work as required.
