Position Overview:

The HR Program Manager is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing and managing key HR programs and initiatives within the organization. This role involves designing, implementing, and evaluating HR projects that align with the company's strategic goals and enhance overall employee engagement and development. The HR Program Manager collaborates closely with senior leadership, managers, and various departments to ensure the integration and effectiveness of HR programs. Additionally, this role requires strong project management skills, a keen analytical mindset, and the ability to navigate complex compliance requirements. The HR Program Manager will play a crucial role in driving continuous improvement within the HR function, staying current with industry trends and best practices, and ensuring that HR programs are competitive and effective. This position demands a high level of integrity, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement HR programs and initiatives that support the organization’ strategic objectives.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of HR projects, from planning and development to execution and evaluation.
  • Partner with senior leadership, managers, and key stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure alignment of HR programs.
  • Serve as a liaison between HR and other departments to facilitate program integration and effectiveness.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely and successful project completion.
  • Collect and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Prepare and present reports and dashboards to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within HR programs.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure programs remain competitive and effective.
  • Ensure HR programs comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance and mitigate risk.
  • Design and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of HR team members and other employees.
  • Advocate for effective cross-functional communication to enhance HR’s impact on the business.
  • Support leadership development initiatives to build a strong pipeline of future leaders.
  • Drive HR strategies across the team and company-wide, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Oversee the management of HR’s Wildly Important Goals (WIGs) and other company-wide objectives.
  • Lead the development and execution of communication plans, training, and change adoption strategies for HR initiatives.
  • Conduct post-project/program evaluations in partnership with the workforce strategy team, incorporating feedback to improve future iterations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, with at least 3 years in a program management or project management role.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and evaluate projects effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of HR practices, laws, and regulations.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
  • Proficiency in HR software and systems (e.g., HRIS, ATS).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
