Hi, we’re token.com. Our goal is to create a world where money can flow effortlessly into the things people truly care about. token.com is the fun, simple and social platform to discover and invest in the game-changing ventures of tomorrow. We are now working as a team first, remote friendly company, arranging monthly get-togethers and regular team offsites. We also have a co-working space in London for collaboration and socialising.

We are looking for a passionate Golang Engineer to help develop and maintain our backend platform, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and maintainable backend services. You will be a key contributor in creating a seamless product experience and have the chance to grow within a fast-paced startup!

To help you best prepare, we’ve outlined the interview process for this role, we aim to have this process completed within 3 weeks:

  • 30 minute google meet call with our Talent Team.
  • 1 hour google meet with one of our Head of Engineering.
  • Take Home Assignment.
  • 1 hour technical interview.

Requirements

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong competence developing in Golang.
  • You’re able to reason about software and systems in other mediums, such as proposal documents (RFCs).
  • Experience developing within a microservices architecture.
  • You write testable code.
  • You’re an effective communicator, able to convey technical details to a non technical audience where necessary.
  • You usually collaborate with product owners, mobile engineers and other backend engineers.
  • You’re motivated to do great things and take pride in delivering an excellent product experience.
  • Experience working in a growing startup environment.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Developing in JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience with GraphQL.
  • Experience with gRPC.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform technologies, such as Firestore, BigQuery, Pub/Sub.
  • Familiarity with hexagonal architecture.

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Engaging in software development to build and enhance backend services.
  2. Prototyping and researching solutions to new and complex problems.
  3. Assisting and mentoring co-workers, including participating in code reviews.
  4. Continuously improving the quality and performance of our systems.
