Role Overview-

Tesserent is seeking a highly experienced Solutions Architect specialising in Microsoft 365 & Azure technologies. Architect will be responsible for providing technical solution by architecting based on customer requirements, assist in delivery of the solution with the cloud engineering team, provide presales support by leading the RFP responses and working closely with other architects and delivery managers to solve customer challenges. The role is blend of technical presales, architecture, and delivery.

Note- This position can be based in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra.

Accountabilities-

  • Design and implement innovative solutions using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 that align with client requirements and business objectives.
  • Lead presales activities, including solution demonstrations, workshops, and the preparation of bid responses and proposals.
  • Conduct technical feasibility studies, and system configurations, and deliver tailored presentations to technical and client executives.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, identify business opportunities, and articulate the value proposition of Microsoft technologies.
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight throughout the delivery phase, ensuring solutions are implemented according to architectural designs and best practices.
  • Stay up to date of the latest Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 features, updates, and best practices to serve as a subject matter expert to clients and internal teams.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Microsoft and other key partners to ensure awareness of the latest technologies and offerings.
  • Guide and coach engineers on ongoing learning and growth.
  • Ready to engage and support other team members by learning new technologies and skills.

Competencies

TECHNICAL-

  • Ability to articulate business outcomes including the implications and risks of findings in relation to the business goals of our clients.
  • Understanding of client requirements and business challenges and provide appropriate technical solutions that is simple, cost effective and scalable
  • Ability to review the RFP requirements document and prepare the aligned response
  • Ability to prepare and write the proposals by creating innovative and commercially effective solutions
  • Good understanding and experience working on various Microsoft 365 technologies and associated licensing.
  • Good understanding and experience developing and delivering Azure solutions

Business Skills-

  • Excellent written and verbal skills to clearly explain concepts to diverse stakeholders
  • Able to identify leads with the Sales team and assist with the development of those leads to attain further opportunities and ongoing work.
  • Strong understanding of commercial arrangements for small to large projects and able to demonstrate value of service offerings to clients.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience-

  • Microsoft certifications related to Microsoft 365, and Azure is desirable
  • Experience on various on-premises and cloud infrastructure technologies related to backup, storage, and virtualisation is advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly explain concepts.
  • Open-minded and forward-thinking in terms of vision for the business and team culture.
  • Ability to work as a team with decisions made to support moving toward common goals.
  • Experience working in a presales function would be advantageous.
