Civil CAD Technician II

The Opportunity

Ulteig is seeking talented and motivated candidates for a CAD Technician position focused on TxDOT within the Transportation group. The selected candidate will engage with Ulteig’s Project Technical Leads to provide innovative, forward thinking design solutions to facilitate the development, design, and construction of transportation and municipal projects across our transportation and municipal markets. Ulteig is a 100% employee-owned company with ESOP contribution for eligible employees after the first year of service.

What You Will Do

• Work with the Project Technical Lead and Lead Engineers to complete detailed civil design solutions on projects as assigned.
• Apply current, standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to complete engineering tasks.
• Utilize prior design experience to proactively address potential design issues.
• Work closely with engineering technicians and experienced engineers.
• May devise new approaches and solutions to problems encountered.
• Effectively communicate and interact with project teams.
• Work closely with other disciplines on multidiscipline projects.

What We Expect from You

• Associate or technical degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5-10+ years of transportation and/or municipal design experience. Extensive experience working with TxDOT is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise and knowledge of Bentley OpenRoads Designer or AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in site grading design, corridor modeling, and additions to existing civil designs is required.
• Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to work in high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
• Excellent presentation and verbal/written communication skills.
• Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and additional software knowledge depending on specialty.
• Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.

Additional Opportunity Details:

Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $55,200 - $74,700
* Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role
