The Contribution You’ll bring to this Role:

The Director of Manufacturing Representatives will be responsible for leading and directing the sales activities of our assigned manufacturer's representative partners (MRs). You will drive field execution of all sales strategies, including local targeting, cross-selling, end-user sales activities, and customer support functions managed by the MRs to achieve regional sales targets.

The Director will also be responsible for providing direction, insights, reporting, and sales tools to the team of sales representatives. Additionally, you will implement sales performance improvement plans as needed to ensure that the sales team meets and exceeds goals.

What You’ll Do at Justrite:

  • Manage Manufacturer’s Representatives (MRs) to specific goals.
  • Drive excellence in execution of local deployment of programs.
  • Participate in strategy setting with each business unit designed to deploy specific actions to MRs.
  • Ensure solid execution of regional strategies for both distributor cross sell and end user sales targeting as defined with each business unit.
  • Create KPI’s and metrics for each assigned MR to meet goals aligned to business needs.
  • Deploy programs to MRs with tracking and accountability toll gates towards goals.
  • Deploy standard reporting to assigned goals weekly.
  • Determine actions needed through problem solving to meet all stated objectives for MRs.
  • Review MR’s strategies for growth and action plans to meet or exceed goals.
  • Engage in cadence of reviews to include opportunity management, action planning, program execution and business reviews.
  • Assess competencies of MR’s against defined criteria, including end user engagement, distributor engagement, and ability to cross sell Justrite Safety Group solutions.
  • Field travel accompanying MRs to better understand and assess capabilities, deficiencies, and needed changes.
  • Hold MRs accountable to monthly, quarterly, and annual goals.
  • Negotiate MR contract terms based on performance aligned to company needs.
  • Utilize the company CRM system to manage opportunity pipelines as well as use in daily manufacturer’s representative management.
  • Coordinate MR sales training programs.
  • Create and deploy sales growth countermeasures directly informed by PSR, A3, or other formalized problem-solving and continuous improvement tools.
  • Monitor and act on MAP and open market eCommerce pricing irregularities and violations.

Your Skills and Expertise:

To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related curriculum and/or 10 years relevant sales and sales management experience with a preference towards safety and industrial experience.
  • 3-5 Years experience in Manufacturers Representatives management

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Must maintain a high level of integrity in representing Justrite Safety Group.
  • Advanced ability to use excel or data manipulation tools, such as Power BI.
  • Willingness to travel by automobile and air 25%+ of time (1-2 nights over per week).
  • Demonstrated ability to be a Change Agent.
  • Sound understanding of CRM systems, Salesforce.com a plus.
  • Knowledge in safety supply or similar industry a plus.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem solving (A3) and communication skills required.

Compensation:

The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $135,000 to $150,000.

Actual base salaries will vary and may be above or below the recommended pay range based on factors such as but not limited to location, relevant experience and performance. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan to enhance their overall total compensation package when Justrite Safety Group and their business units achieve annual business and financial targets.
