Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech Company

Reporting to the Director of Design, a Sr. Motion Designer is an integral part of the Marketing Brand & Creative team at BILL. They collaborate across the Marketing org to develop engaging and compelling motion-based campaigns and videos, which drive impactful business outcomes. They bring the BILL brand to life through product launch teasers, brand videos, sizzle reels, UI animations, social campaigns, commercials, and more, by delivering upon strategic creative briefs, collaborating with stakeholders and partner teams, and proposing fresh motion-based concepts and ideas. They are design leaders, driving a culture of design excellence and inspiring the company as a whole through clever storytelling and impeccable craft. Key responsibilities include:

  • Work autonomously throughout fast-paced creative workflows to deliver high-bar and impactful creative marketing assets, while balancing business needs with technical and creative constraints
  • Interpret strategic briefs, evaluate creative approaches inline with business needs, propose creative concepts and approaches, iterate design execution inline with stakeholder feedback, finalize and deliver creative assets
  • Clearly and succinctly present creative work and logic to senior leadership and stakeholders across Marketing and other BILL organizations, delivering key messages at the appropriate level of detail for each audience.
  • Maintain and share up-to-date expertise and general best-practices for motion design,, with attention to common touchpoints.
  • Maintain relationships with cross-functional teams to better understand their collaboration needs, concerns, and roadmaps
  • Manage and strategically iterate creative approaches, continually elevating personal creative bar and output, and driving elevated creative bar of the team

Professional Experience/Background to be successful in this role:

  • Developing motion-based creative campaigns from start to finish
  • Executing brand and marketing assets with expert use of motion, typography and layout across all platforms, including: social media campaigns, digital ads, website and landing pages, print collateral, presentation decks, eBooks and email templates
  • Creating and maintaining motion design guidelines across marketing materials
  • Presenting creative work to stakeholders both within and outside of the marketing department
  • Excelling in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Being part of a close-knit creative team that values learning from each other

We’d love to chat if you have:

  • At least six years of motion design experience in an in-house creative studio or agency
  • An exceptional portfolio showcasing motion design, typography, and visual design skills
  • Strong conceptual abilities and a talent for storytelling
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to clearly convey design intent, advocate for their work, and suggest alternative ideas to peers and managers
  • Committed to maintaining a high standard of creative quality for themselves and others, while always striving to find the best solution to meet company goals
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills, collaborative mindset, and adept at working cross-functionally.

The estimated base salary range for this role is noted below for our office location in Draper, UT. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in BILL’s bonus and equity plan. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.

Draper UT pay range$84,900—$106,100 USD
