Looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to lead the creative direction process from conception through design and development to delivery for our portfolio of Web and Mobile consumer applications and BAU creative assets. The right candidate will lead design through best practices, attention to detail, and sometimes non-traditional thinking that improves our design, products and member experiences across the customer journey.

In this role, you'll set the bar for creative excellence and provide best-in-class visual design thinking and usability expertise at the start of every project as you collaborate with teams of designers, researchers, engineers, content strategists and product managers throughout the product process. You will communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with user flows, wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, user interface mockups, and/or high fidelity prototypes. Your goal will be to advocate for the prioritization of design-centered changes, refinements, and improvements.


Your responsibilities would include:


  • Set the tone for forward-thinking, positive thought leadership, staying up to date with new innovations and industry trends.
  • Gather key insights through data analysis into customer behaviour to find their unmet & unspoken needs.
  • Communicate and get buy-in on design philosophy and guidelines with various stakeholders across the company.
  • Balance your creative vision with business objectives and priorities.
  • Design interfaces that are exciting, beautiful, and usable.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to help build designs from idea to release.
  • Evolve high-level visual concepts into pixel-perfect designs.
  • Provide creative quality control over concepts, execution and delivery of creative work.
  • Assess creative work to ensure ideas are as powerful in reality as they are in concept.
  • Lead the creation, execution, and continual evolution of the brand guidelines.
  • Inspire creative excellence by pushing the boundaries of the brand guidelines.
  • Ensure work is of highest quality, reflects brand standards, and is on budget and on time.
  • Contribute to the product team's set of best practices, standards, and design guidelines and drive alignment across all platform components.
  • Be the user-advocate by subjecting early-stage designs to usability testing and offering implementation suggestions from a user-centered perspective.
  • Above all, have fun innovating the next generation of Web and Mobile consumer applications.


Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant UI/UX design experience. Previous experience on both B2C and B2B products is a plus
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience overseeing a creative direction process
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience; advanced degree a plus
  • Knowledge and understanding of design thinking or human-centered thinking/design
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing clean, intuitive and responsive interfaces
  • Experience designing across multiple platforms and viewports
  • Proficient with Adobe XD, and/or Figma
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and JS is plus
  • Market Research industry experience a plus
  • Experience with dashboards and data visualization is a big plus
  • Solid experience with user-centric design (but know when to break the rules)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions for a broad audience demographic
  • Experience in research, usability testing, product analytics, and turning the output into data that can drive product design decisions
  • Must be a "doer" with a "roll up your sleeves" attitude
  • Self-sufficient, highly organized with the ability to manage workload to meet project deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, making you a proven influencer and collaborator
  • Leadership and conflict resolution skills, and the ability to work well with teams
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to present effectively and professionally to groups of stakeholders
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong bias for action
