Mid/Sr User Experience Designer

As the User Experience Designer, you will be responsible for creating intuitive, user-centered designs for digital products and services. This role involves conducting user research, developing wireframes and prototypes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless user experience across all platforms. You will act as an advocate for the user, balancing business goals with user needs to create engaging and effective designs. Strong creative, analytical, and communication skills are essential to translate complex ideas into simple, elegant solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• User Research: Conduct user research through various methods (e.g., interviews, surveys, usability testing) to understand user behaviors, needs, and motivations.
• Information Architecture: Develop clear and logical information architectures to organize content and functionality in an intuitive manner.
• Wireframing and Prototyping: Create low and high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts effectively.
• User Interface Design: Design visually appealing and functional user interfaces that align with brand guidelines and enhance user experience.
• Usability Testing: Plan and conduct usability tests to evaluate designs and gather user feedback for continuous improvement.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs are feasible, aligned with business goals, and technically implementable.
• Design System Management: Contribute to and maintain a cohesive design system to ensure consistency across products and streamline the design process.
• Data-Driven Design: Analyze user data and metrics to inform design decisions and optimize user experiences.
• Responsive Design: Ensure designs are responsive and provide a consistent experience across various devices and screen sizes.
• Accessibility: Advocate for and implement accessibility best practices to ensure designs are inclusive and usable by all.
• Design Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including style guides and interaction patterns.
• Trend Awareness: Stay up-to-date with UX trends, tools, and best practices, incorporating relevant innovations into design work.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in UX design, preferably in a product-based environment.
• Portfolio: Strong portfolio showcasing UX process and high-quality design solutions.
• Tool Proficiency: Advanced skills in UX/UI design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
• Experience in conducting user research and translating insights into design decisions.
• Proficiency in creating interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and incorporate feedback from various stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a proven track record of solving complex design challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and present to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, iterative environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and a commitment to creating intuitive, accessible designs.
• Currently living in Latin America

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Experience with design systems and component libraries
• Experience with video editing
• Knowledge of data visualization techniques and best practices
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Relevant certifications in UX design or related fields
