Wealthfront is looking for a senior product designer to focus on making money movement fast, transparent, and seamless. We have a unique opportunity to solve this as we leverage new technologies and deep expertise building complex financial products to put people in control of their finances. If you love the puzzle of tackling complex problems and crafting elegant experiences that have a direct impact on people’s lives, this role is for you.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the cross-functional leaders on your team to define the direction for your work while building on quantitative and qualitative research to craft useful and delightful experiences. Success in this role will require strong communication skills, critical thinking, a high bar for craft, and executional excellence.

About You

  • 4+ years of product design experience in a consumer software company.
  • A portfolio of high-quality work that shows your experience designing elegant and visually engaging solutions to complex problems that directly solve user needs.
  • You take a structured, intentional approach to your work, leveraging frameworks and principles to articulate your design decisions.
  • You have experience collaborating with product managers, researchers, and content designers in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
  • You can demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to communicate and present ideas clearly.
  • You’re a reliable self-starter who can lead multiple projects with minimal oversight.
  • You love designing for the entire product process from strategy to pixel—and can demonstrate a range of skills from high-level flows to detailed interactions.
  • You consider context and design for the entire user journey with a clear sense of the ultimate user and business outcomes you are trying to achieve.
  • You’re a product thinker who takes a deep interest in leveraging business objectives, data, and user research to inspire your work.

Estimated annual salary range: $170k USD plus equity and a discretionary bonus.
