Subject to Grant Funding?:No Essential Job Functions:1. Uses the computer in the analysis and solution of business problems, such as improving processes, automating workflows, or optimizing facility scheduling.
2. Evaluates sources of information to determine any limitations in terms of reliability or usability.
3. Utilizes software to load and manipulate large datasets.
4. Utilizes Excel pivot tables for raw data consumption.
5. Develops and implements processes and reports to audit data quality, ensure accuracy, and increase productivity.
6. Locates and corrects data entry errors or reports them to supervisors.
7. Collaborates with other college units (e.g., Business Intelligence team, Enrollment Management) to identify fields and processes for transforming internal ad-hoc reports/queries into standard reports used by other units.
8. Maintains data integrity and confidentiality.
9. Reports results of statistical analyses, including information in the form of graphs, charts, and tables.
10. Files data and related information and maintains and updates databases.
11. Retrieves, separates, and sorts program output as needed, and sends data to specified users.
12. Participates in the publication of data or information.
13. Completes special projects as assigned.
14. Performs other duties as assigned or required.


Marginal Job Functions:Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Knowledge:
1. English Language - General knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
2. Mathematics - Thorough knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
3. Knowledge of computer language (SQL, R, etc.).

4. Knowledge of Excel and pivot tables.

Job Requirements:Required Certifications/Licensures:Required Education:Bachelor’s DegreeMajor (if required):Computer Science, Social Sciences, or related fieldRequired Experience:Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in an academic or research environment.Preferred Qualifications:1. Master’s or Doctoral Degree.
2. Experience with Banner ERP.
3. Skilled in using SQL or R programming language.
