We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Digital Marketing Content Strategy Senior Manager to lead and shape the strategic direction of content across both overarching and product-specific initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing functional content strategies that align with long-term business goals, significantly influencing our digital presence and brand positioning. This position requires a mastery-level understanding of content strategy, user experience, and digital marketing best practices, with a strong focus on operational excellence and impact at a cross-functional, organizational level.

You will collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders across business units, marketing, digital SMEs, UX, and design teams to drive impactful content strategies and execution, ensuring that content is not only optimized for the user experience but also serves to propel the organization’s broader objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Digital Content Strategy: Own and develop strategic content actions that align with organizational goals and drive functional results. Oversee operational plans that have a direct and lasting impact on the achievement of digital and product content objectives over the next 1-2 years.
  • Strategic Content Frameworks: Develop the creation of high-level content frameworks for diverse business units, ensuring both flexibility and consistency across digital platforms while aligning with corporate objectives. Define standards and methodologies for content creation, optimization, and distribution at an enterprise level.
  • Advanced Product Content Strategy: Collaborate closely with stakeholders across Business Units and digital SMEs to define advanced content strategies that enhance the digital presence of products, emphasizing taxonomy, user experience, messaging, and brand voice.
  • Taxonomy and Metadata Strategy: Oversee the management and enhancement of complex taxonomies, metadata, and tagging structures to optimize content discoverability and alignment with business goals. Develop and implement processes that set new standards for organizational content categorization and retrieval.
  • Messaging Framework Oversight: Design, implement, and manage a consistent, scalable messaging framework across all platforms that reflects both product value propositions and brand voice. Ensure messaging supports the company’s strategic direction, positioning, and customer engagement goals.
  • User Experience and Optimization Leadership: Partner with UX, design, and development teams to drive continuous improvement of content’s impact on user engagement, conversion, and overall experience. Advocate for innovative approaches to content usability and digital experiences at an enterprise scale.
  • Content Performance Audits and Insights: Drive regular, comprehensive content audits to assess effectiveness across both overarching and product-specific content. Utilize advanced data analytics to understand performance gaps and implement data-driven insights to refine and optimize strategies, ensuring alignment with key business KPIs.
  • End-to-End Content Workflow Leadership: Oversee complex content workflows from strategy through to execution, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery. Develop new processes that optimize content creation and publication across multiple channels and platforms, reducing inefficiencies and enhancing cross-functional collaboration.
  • Governance, Compliance, and Brand Excellence: Own the development and enforcement of advanced content governance policies, ensuring strict adherence to brand standards, legal compliance, and quality assurance. Drive best practices that elevate content performance and consistency across all digital channels.
  • Cross-Functional Strategic Collaboration: Establish and manage collaboration efforts with senior stakeholders in marketing, product management, UX, and design to align content strategies with business and user experience objectives. Act as a content strategy ambassador within the organization, influencing key stakeholders and decision-makers at all levels.
  • Innovative Content Best Practices: Define and standardize content creation, editing, and distribution best practices across the organization. Drive the adoption of new technologies, methodologies, and tools that improve content creation and optimization processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10 + years of experience in digital content strategy.
  • 8 + years of experience in digital project management, overseeing large-scale content initiatives.
  • 5 + years of experience working in matrixed, cross functional team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Proven expertise in content strategy, management, and optimization at an enterprise level, especially in complex and high-stakes environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of content taxonomies, tagging structures, metadata management, and content governance processes.
  • Deep understanding of content management systems (CMS), digital marketing tools, SEO, UX principles, and emerging content trends.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to align content strategy with business and digital experience goals.
  • Mastery of content performance metrics and data analytics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influence skills, including the ability to brief and persuade senior leadership on key strategic initiatives.
  • Experience in e-commerce, SaaS, or content-heavy, product-focused industries is highly preferred.
  • Expertise in leading content syndication across multiple platforms and geographies, ensuring alignment with both business objectives and brand guidelines.
  • Advanced project management skills with the ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives with high impact.
  • Knowledge of emerging trends in digital marketing, content strategy, and customer experience optimization.
