Purpose of Position
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
To offer undergraduate research/creative scholarly opportunities in STEM research, Social Science research, Health Care research, and Creative Scholarly Activity. Student will be matched with a faculty mentor based on a student's qualifications and faculty mentor's needs as part of an initial screening by the Experiential Learning Center.
Duration for this position from semester to semester depends on available funding.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Organize notes and files
- Collect and/or analyze samples or data
- Complete clerical tasks (ex. Data entry, filing reports)
- Create or contribute to scholarly papers
- Prepare for and/or conduct interviews
- Conduct research and literature reviews
- Create and maintain online resources
- Attend project meetings, seminars, and related events
- Summarize project results
- Prepare progress reports, articles, and presentations
- Work in a research lab
- Conduct original research through the creation of artworks, performances, or other creative projects
- Explore innovative concepts, materials, and techniques within the chosen artistic discipline

Minimum Requirements
- Must be an undergraduate student
- Must be enrolled full-time
- Registration in a minimum of 1 hour of research/creative activity credit each semester
- Completion of all annual training required by Human Resources
- Completion of required meetings with Experiential Learning Coordinator in the Experiential Learning Center
- Completion of other tasks assigned as part of the Experiential Learning Center program (discussed at initial meeting)
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
