Software Systems Engineer

Overview

Amyx is seeking to hire a Software Systems Engineer to support our DLA client. The customer HQ is in Dayton, OH, but the position is 100% remote. However, there may be occasions that the candidate will have to go into the office for meetings or duties.

Responsibilities

• Support current DAAS customer and initiatives like AWS cloud migration and techincal changes to DAAS applications.
• Formulates/defines specifications for complex operating software programming applications or modifies/maintains complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from the manufacturer.
• Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents those programs.
• Provides overall operating system maintenance, such as sophisticated file maintenance routines, large telecommunications networks, computer accounting, and advanced mathematical/scientific software packages.
• Assists all phases of software systems programming applications.
• Evaluates new and existing software products.
• The candidate is also desired to have relevant Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) experience on DLA systems and logistics transaction types (EDI and MILS) and DLA systems customer interfaces.

• he Software Systems Engineer will interact directly and daily with multiple DLA DAAS customers on data interfaces, trouble shooting, agreements, system monitoring, design diagram creation and other operations and maintenance support (O&M).

Qualifications

Requried:

• Minimum Experience: Five (5) years relevant experience

  In addition to the minimum requirements established in the IDIQ, personnel assigned to this labor category must possess the following skillslnowledge/abilities to successfully support contract requirements: familiarity/experience with AWS, Unix, Oracle, WebLogic, and Java technologies; have Secret clearance to help with SIPR responsibilities; and ideally as always we seek a candidate who is motivated and can pick up and learn what's needed to support and make needed recommendations at DLA.
