Go Vocal is looking for purpose-driven talent to join us on our mission to enable millions of people in cities across the globe to shape the future of their communities.

As our Head of Marketing and Strategic Partnerships you will lead Go Vocal’s international growth, drive its go-to-market strategies, and build a strong global brand. You’ll lead a talented four-person team to scale our impact in participatory democracy, contributing to our big goal of bringing Go Vocal to over 1,000 cities in the next 3 years. You will:

Drive Go-to-Market Strategy and International Growth

  • Shape GTM Playbooks: Design and implement tailored go-to-market strategies for priority regions (e.g., Germany, US, Nordics) in close collaboration with country managers.

  • Scale Lead Generation: Build and optimize lead-generation channels through digital campaigns, partnerships, and innovative approaches to meet market-specific demands.

  • Forge Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate relationships with municipal associations, referral partners, and other key stakeholders to unlock new distribution channels and market-entry opportunities.

Build a Global, Impactful Brand

  • Elevate Global Thought Leadership: Position Go Vocal as a leader in participatory democracy through impactful storytelling, global events, and media engagements.

  • Refine Brand Positioning: Craft a compelling narrative, optimize messaging, and enhance visual identity to ensure a strong, cohesive brand across markets.

  • Showcase Tangible Impact: Highlight Go Vocal’s results through creative campaigns, leveraging success stories from government partners to inspire action.

Inspire and Lead a High-Performing Team

  • Empower Marketing Team: Cultivate a culture of creativity, purpose, and growth, enabling the marketing team to excel and deliver exceptional results.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Act as a key connector with Country Managers, Sales, Product, and GovSuccess teams to ensure alignment and synergy.

  • Optimize Through Data: Define and track performance metrics, leveraging insights to refine strategies and deliver measurable outcomes, working closely with the CEO.

Requirements

What do we expect from you?

We’re seeking a strategic, hands-on marketing leader who can drive go-to-market success. You thrive in a small, agile team with a strong bias for action. You are curious, open-minded and passionate about digital democracy. Here’s what will make you a great fit:

  • You have 5+ years of hands-on experience working in marketing or growth

  • You have over 4+ years of experience in building and leading high-performing teams, fostering collaboration by leveraging individual strengths.

  • You have demonstrable experience or a strong desire to work with the public sector, can strongly relate to our digital democracy mission, and can show a solid understanding of citizen participation and public governance.

  • You are very fluent in English, both in writing and verbally. Proficiency in French, Dutch, German or Spanish is a plus, too.

  • A strong plus is your proven track record of working in both the North American and Western European markets.

  • You are a strategic thinker and can successfully connect the dots. You excel at designing go-to-market strategies, approaching this in a structured way, and involving multiple stakeholders.

  • You are tech-savvy and analytical, keen on automating wherever possible, and familiar with technical/digital marketing channels (incl. SEO and SEA).

  • You are a relationship builder who loves to spar both internally and externally and bring ideas from start to finish

  • You are hungry to learn and teach, embodied through an empathetic and collaborative leadership style.

  • You have a hands-on attitude, love running experiments and re-iterate upon data insights, and come with creative ideas for new growth.
