Statement of Purpose: The Brand Marketing Manager at CAN Community Health is a strategic leader responsible for shaping and managing the organization’s brand identity to ensure it reflects its mission of empowering wellness through compassion, community, and equity. This role oversees brand development, positioning, and consistency across all marketing and communication efforts. The Marketing Brand Manager collaborates with internal teams and external partners to drive impactful campaigns, enhance brand awareness, and strengthen CAN Community Health’s reputation as a leader in ending the HIV epidemic. This position reports to the Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer.

Essential Functions:
Brand Strategy and Development:
- Define and implement a comprehensive brand strategy that aligns with CAN Community Health’s mission, values, and strategic goals.
- Maintain and evolve brand guidelines, ensuring consistent application across all touchpoints.
- Track and manage advertising campaigns, editorial, print, billboard, radio, online and television.
Campaign Management:
- Plan and execute brand marketing campaigns that promote CAN’s programs, services, and initiatives.
- Collaborate with digital, creative, and community engagement teams to ensure alignment in messaging and visuals.
Brand Identity Oversight:
- Monitor and safeguard CAN’s visual and verbal brand identity, ensuring consistency across digital, print, and experiential channels.
- Lead efforts to refresh or reimagine the brand identity as needed to reflect evolving organizational priorities and market trends.
Market Research and Insights:
- Conduct research to understand audience perceptions, competitive positioning, and emerging trends in healthcare branding.
- Use insights to inform brand strategy and measure campaign effectiveness.
Collaboration and Leadership:
- Work closely with leadership, clinical teams, and community partners to align the brand with organizational goals and public health initiatives.
- Manage relationships with creative agencies, freelancers, and vendors to deliver high-quality, impactful brand materials.
Content and Creative Oversight:
- Collaborate with content creators, graphic designers, and videographers to produce compelling branded content.
- Ensure storytelling, visuals, and messaging consistently reflect CAN Community Health’s voice and values.
Metrics and Reporting:
- Track and report on brand performance metrics, including awareness, engagement, and sentiment.
- Use data to refine strategies and demonstrate ROI.
Training and Advocacy:
- Provide training and resources to internal teams to ensure consistent brand representation across all departments.
- Act as a brand ambassador, promoting CAN’s identity and values to external audiences.
Education/Professional:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years in digital marketing leadership, preferably in healthcare or non-profit organizations.
- Proven experience leading successful brand campaigns and initiatives.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Proficiency in branding tools and software, including Adobe Creative Suite and marketing automation platforms
- Understanding of healthcare marketing, particularly related to HIV/AIDS, is a plus.
Competencies (Required Skills and Abilities):
- Must demonstrate initiative, be highly organized, able to manage multiple projects while prioritizing work assignments, and able to work well with executive team and staff at all levels in the organization.
- Must have excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Needs good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word,Excel, PowerPoint), email marketing platform (e.g. Constant Contact), and website content management systems (e.g. WordPress).
- Excellent writing skills and the ability to understand challenges and stigma associated with HIV/AIDS/Hepatitis C and other diseases.
- The successful candidate must demonstrate an ability to manage marketing and public relations for audiences inside and outside the organization. Ability to evaluate opportunities for organization promotion and manage a budget.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent people manager, open to direction, suggestions, and commitment to get the job done.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, audio visual, telephones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Expected Hours of Work:
- This position may require additional time above normal operating hours and on occasion weekend work.
- Travel is primary during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have valid insurance and driver’s license.
