As Compliance Team Leader, you’ll combine technical expertise and leadership to ensure CT and clients meet compliance and security standards. You'll lead the team in areas like backup management, system monitoring, cybersecurity, and patching to the Essential Eight standard, providing guidance while also engaging in hands-on technical tasks to set operational standards.

The Compliance Team operates 7 days a week to ensure continuous protection and compliance, while this role is scheduled for Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Requirements

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the design and maintenance of backup solutions, guiding the team in regular reviews and ensuring data restoration readiness, while actively troubleshooting backup-related issues.
  • Oversee the implementation and enhancement of monitoring systems, responding to alerts with technical expertise and collaborating with the team to continuously improve monitoring capabilities.
  • Develop and enforce patching procedures aligned with Essential Eight standards, conducting hands-on assessments and updates for systems, endpoints, and network devices, while driving initiatives to streamline patch management.
  • Actively resolve complex technical issues, provide guidance to the team on compliance-related technologies, and ensure hands-on involvement sets a standard for technical excellence.
  • Lead and manage a compliance-focused team, fostering continuous improvement, mentoring team members, and collaborating with other teams to address compliance requirements and develop compliant solutions.
  • Monitor SOC and SIEM systems for potential threats, analyse security events, and respond swiftly to security incidents, ensuring critical alerts are addressed promptly.
  • Design, execute, and manage phishing simulation campaigns to assess and improve client cybersecurity awareness, analysing results and providing insights for enhanced security training.
  • Participate in vulnerability management, leading the identification, assessment, and remediation of security vulnerabilities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to prioritise and mitigate risks.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven hands-on experience in compliance-related functions, preferably in an MSP environment.
  • Strong technical expertise in backup solutions, monitoring systems, and patch management.
  • Familiarity with Essential Eight standards and their practical application.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership skills with the ability to lead by example and guide a technical team effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of backup technologies, particularly Veeam.
  • Proficient knowledge of infrastructure relating to backups.
  • Familiarity with ITIL Change Management processes.
  • Strong understanding of RTO and RPO concepts.
  • Veeam, VmWare, Microsoft or backup vendor Certifications.
  • Proficiency in utilising ConnectWise for time tracking and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to IT and non-IT stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and a commitment to meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment to prioritise accordingly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, intellectual rigour and curiosity, and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
