Specialist Java Developer

About the Team/Role

As a Specialist Developer, you will be responsible for designing and creating new applications that fit with our team standards to execute and deliver projects efficiently and on time.

• Design and develop new applications

• Design and maintain automated tests to ensure code quality

• Identify and implement CI/CD methodology and philosophies for existing and new applications and services

• Expand the team’s knowledge base on automation

Experience you’ll bring

• Bachelor Degree in a related field or equivalent experience

• Solid experience in Java 8 (or higher) or a similar language (e.g., C#)

• Experience with writing unit test

• Strong experience in automating cloud-based applications and services

• Experience with Multi-cloud solutions - Azure, Google, Amazon

• Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery

• Experience with one or more of the following: AWS Cloud Formation, Kubernetes (K8S), Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Chef, ADO, and Puppet.

Plus

• Solid experience in Java 8 or above

• Good experience developing infrastructure as code

• Experience working on agile teams to deliver software iteratively

• Experience with Test automation and Automation Software

• Experience with Atlassian tools like Confluence and JIRA

• Experience with designing and architecting applications

• Experience with Linux, containerization and container orchestration like Kubernetes

• Experience with logging, metrics and monitoring tools like Datadog and Splunk

• Experience with the fuel business and transaction processing
