Job Description
The Lead Regional Research Program Manager (LRPM) will serve as a central regional clinical research expansion navigator and will be responsible for remote and onsite oversight, training, monitoring, supporting, and auditing research activities conducted in the MUSC Research Centers in the MUSC Health Regional Health Networks (RHN), and as relevant, regional affiliate sites. Requires travel to various research sites.
A bachelor's degree andfour yearsrelevant program experience.
Job Duties
This position will develop auditing processes and checklists and conduct site level audits at least quarterly in the RHN Research Centers, providing a report of findings, and following up with the Research Program Managers on corrective action plans to ensure research and laboratory compliance, identify areas for improved efficiencies, and help with the research training of staff as needed. This position will support the RHNs and Orangeburg to prepare for and during outside audits.
This position will develop Research Center service quotes and statements of work (SOW) for each study or project procuring research services from the RHN Research Centers to support University and other entities Purchase Orders (POs) in collaboration with the RHN Research Program Managers and will support clinical trial budget development in collaboration with the Research Program Managers and the Office of Clinical Research (OCR) Finance Team.
This position will serve as a central, regional clinical research/clinical trial study start up navigator supporting RHN and Orangeburg and new affiliate sites who will be working in close collaboration with the Research Opportunities & Collaborations Metrics and Evaluation Manager. This position will support onboarding of new Research Center Program Managers (RPMs) and will provide ongoing support to existing RPMs. This position will support remotely and in person all regional sites with study activation, conduct, and closeout including developing and managing communication plans between entities, developing managing regulatory submissions and approvals as needed, mapping out study activities, and providing back up as required. This position will also monitor routing groups and research training requirements and will coordinator or provide training as needed.
This position will coordinate with the University Clinical Research Expansion Manager and the OCR Finance Team to support Research Center financials and Research Center invoicing including tracking of all Research Center services in Klok and/or SPARCFulfillment, pulling invoicing reports, auditing invoicing, and collaborating with the University. 10% E
This position will collaborate with research expansion leadership and team members in strategic planning, prioritization, implementation, and direction of research expansion in MUSC Health/RHN entities including identification of challenges and opportunities and potential solutions and actively participating in the Research Expansion Governance and Operational Committee meetings.
This position will be responsible for developing site standard operating procedures and processes in collaboration with the Research Program Managers in the RHN Research Centers and will collaborate on enterprise-wide research expansion standard operational and financial processes.
