Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Bioinformatics Research Intern to join our dynamic data science team. The selected candidate will work on a cutting-edge research project related to the field of drug discovery.

Responsibilities

1. Analyze and interpret complex biological datasets.

2. Develop and implement computational algorithms and models.

3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.

4. Present findings in team meetings and contribute to research publications.

5. Stay updated with the latest advancements in bioinformatics and related fields.

Qualifications

1. Pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.

2. Strong programming skills in Python, R, or other relevant languages.

3. Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and databases.

4. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

6. Experience with machine learning and data analysis.

Requirements

• Must be either a recent graduate or currently enrolled in a Master's (or Ph.D.) program in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

• Some knowledge of scripting programming languages such as Python or R.

• Familiarity with data analysis and machine learning libraries (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).

• Solid understanding of statistical concepts and techniques.

• Attend relevant conferences or seminars, and network with other professionals in the field

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Enthusiasm for learning and a passion for data science and AI.

• Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) or bioinformatics is a plus

• Having some relevant Data Science publications is a plus

Preferred (but not required)
