Job Description

We're seeking a strategic SEO Contractor, to work on a part-time basis (20 hours per week) for the next 9 months, to amplify our content marketing efforts and build our digital authority in the real estate investing space.

You will define and own our SEO strategy and build it from the ground up. This is a first-time investment in organic search, and you will help shape how we grow our presence and authority in the real estate investing space.

Key Responsibilities

• You will work alongside our content marketer, providing strategic SEO guidance to support the development and amplification of original, high-impact content, but own the full SEO strategy.
• Develop and execute comprehensive technical SEO improvements to enhance website performance
• Help shape our content strategy by identifying keyword opportunities, prioritizing topics, and guiding on-page SEO for educational content, product pages, and thought leadership.
• Implement advanced schema markup and structured data optimization
• Build a targeted backlink strategy to increase domain authority
• Create detailed performance tracking and reporting mechanisms
• Provide strategic SEO insights to inform content creation and distribution

What You'll Deliver

• Drive consistent growth in organic traffic and share of voice for high-intent topics related to real estate investing.
• Comprehensive technical SEO audit and ongoing optimization plan
• Strategic backlink acquisition (targeting 5+ high-authority domains monthly)
• Detailed monthly performance reports showing:
• Organic search visibility improvements
• Content performance insights
• Technical website health metrics
• Collaborative support to maximize the impact of our content marketing efforts
• Develop a strategic roadmap for building our digital authority in real estate investing

Requirements

Qualifications

• A bias-for-action doer
• Proven expertise in technical SEO for content-driven websites
• Deep understanding of advanced SEO techniques beyond basic keyword optimization
• Experience in building domain authority for emerging brands in competitive industries
• Proficiency with advanced SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console) and WordPress (our CMS)
• Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Excellent communication skills, with ability to collaborate cross-functionally
• Background in financial services or technology marketing preferred
