At Toma (YC2024), we’re building something unorthodox—a fully AI-driven platform reshaping how 18,000 car dealerships operate nationwide.
Our small team (from ex-Scale AI/Uber founders who’ve never owned cars, to a pro Valorant player, robotics champion, motocross racer, and more) spent months living and breathing dealerships to learn the ropes.
We’ve built an in-house voice AI and agentic workflow orchestration platform, landed dozens of customers purely through word-of-mouth, and raised funding from top investors on our way to create the world’s first “ghost dealerships.”
Copywriting is the foundation for all our marketing and sales content. As a Copywriting Intern at Toma, you’ll work closely with our Director of Marketing to develop the core messaging behind sales enablement assets—one‑pagers, battle cards, email sequences, and presentations—that empower reps to close deals faster. You will also craft go‑to‑market campaign copy, including launch‑day emails, landing pages, and paid‑ad variants, to fuel product launches. Additionally, you’ll write copy for both the business social media account and our executive team, so all of our social communications align. The ideal candidate is a creative writer that incorporates SEO best practices and does not shy away from AI tools to increase their efficiency in writing content for a variety of campaigns.
Utilize AI-powered platforms to brainstorm and generate content ideas, draft copy, and optimize messaging for various channels.
Write, edit, and publish engaging posts for social media platforms (primarily LinkedIn and X).
Optimize content for SEO, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and analytics-driven improvements.
Develop compelling sales enablement content such as case studies, product sheets, and sales emails to support the sales team.
Collaborate with marketing, design, and sales teams to ensure content aligns with brand voice and campaign objectives.
Analyze trends, competitor content, and audience insights to inform content strategy.
Maintain consistency in tone and messaging across all platforms and materials.
Proven experience as a copywriter or similar role, with a portfolio of social media, SEO, and sales enablement content.
Hands-on experience with AI writing tools (e.g., Jasper, Copy.ai, Writesonic, ChatGPT) for content creation and ideation.
Strong understanding of SEO best practices and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush).
Excellent research, writing, and editing skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, fully remote team.
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field.
Experience in writing for B2B or SaaS environments.
Familiarity with content management systems and marketing automation tools.
